NEXT STEPS

DocRead automatically issues and securely stores a reading certificate on completion of reading assignments. Users are presented with a three tab DocRead Assignment Panel to help them complete a reading assignment.

Docread ASsignment Dialog
  • The Assignment tab contains basic information about the reading task for the user. This includes the group or audience it had been sent to, date assigned, due date etc.. From this tab the user can clearly see whether the task is required (meaning mandatory), or just recommended to them. Required Tasks will go overdue and reminders will be sent via e-mail.
  • The Document tab contains more detailed information about the reading task for the user. Document version number, date of last amendment, document ID are included as well as a link to the relevant document. If the document publisher has chosen to add a specific comment about the document the user will be able to read their notes on this tab.
  • The Confirmation tab tab is arguably the most important of the three. This is because it not only conveys the 'Terms and Conditions' statement that your users must confirm that they agree with, but also ensures that they have actually opened and read the document before allowing them to confirm / self certify that they have read it. Details of this event (time and date stamp, document version details etc.) are then stored within the DocRead database for future reference and a reading receipt is generated for the user to keep.
