We are really delighted to announce that we have released version 3.0 of DocRead and DocSurvey. Please read the release notes (or major version links above) to find more information about what was included in this and previous versions. We're currently developing support for SharePoint 2016 which is estimated to be delivered in Q3 of 2016.
Features being considered for future development:
Read and Confirm an E-mail by replying to it
Workers can't always access SharePoint around the clock. Maybe they are always "on the road", work in a Kiosk environment using a "shared" SharePoint login or are a third party external to your organization. With this release we will be introducing a feature that allows a user to confirm having read a document simply by replying to the e-mail with a specific phrase such as "I Agree" *.
We will also be supporting , S/MIME digital signatures, meaning that we will check the user (who is attempting to confirm) is actually who they say they are.
Prompt for User Name and Password
We realise many of our customers are regulated by the FDA. To facilitate this will offer an additional option to prompt the user to enter their 'user name' and 'password' at the time of attempting to confirm a document. This will aid in the compliance of 'CFR - Code of Federal Regulations Title 21 (21 CFR Part 11)'. For even more verification you may also considered adding a specific questionnaire to the document using DocSurvey.
