If you want to be the first to get it, don't forget to subscribe to this newsletter. Earlier today Jose Castro became our 22,000th member and our group is starting to grow at a healthy rate again now that the peak vacation season is out of the way.

Setting up alerts in SharePoint?

SharePoint Discussion"I created a Shared Documents library web part into my doc collaboration site where in it, I have 5 folders created. Each folder represent a section in my organization where I upload word files to these folders for the section to download and review.

I had setup alerts so that each time I upload new word files into a folder, the specific section gets an automatic email about the new files in the folder. Problem is that these alerts r not doing what I want to do where the alerts r going to the wrong group of users. Is there a way where I can properly define the alerts where each folder in the shared documents web part notifies alert to the right group of users?" - join in the discussion.
