SharePoint Newsletter - Week 32

Welcome to the SharePoint Newsletter from the SharePoint 2007 & 2010 group on LinkedIn. This announcement contains, group news, tools, events and features. If you would like to suggest content to go into the next announcement, send us an e-mail and we will do our best to include.

As you can see, the Newsletter has had a big makeover so that it's easier to scan and find the bits you are interested in. From now on, we will be announcing the Newsletter on the group, but, not copying the content into a LinkedIn discussion as it's very hard to make it look nice (due to a lack of serious HTML formatting options).

Cool Tool

WSP Builder

Cool Tool ImageOk the prominence of this tool has swayed a little bit since SharePoint 2010, but there’s a lot of SharePoint 2007 projects still out there. This tool allows visual studio developers to easily create WSP’s. Without we were faced with having to use ‘makecab’ along writing our own manifest.xml and ddf files.
